Virginia Beach Vacation Rentals
Virginia Beach is a great place to kick back, relax, and enjoy life. With dozens
of places to go, plenty of leisure activity, and convenient location to many
popular attractions, Virginia Beach is an ideal vacation spot.
Whether you visit Virginia Beach by yourself or with a group, there are vacation
rentals perfect for you.
What Rental Type Should You Choose?
Cabins: Virginia Beach's scenic parks often offer cabin rentals. If you are
here to fish, bird watch, or to enjoy some of the scenery that abounds here,
you should consider renting a cabin. Most are environmentally controlled and
offer comfortable, spacious quarters in the middle of natural beauty.
Town homes and Condominiums: If you are planning a longer stay, a town home
might be a great choice. You can find comfortable townhouses in every section
of Virginia Beach, and if you are here for a family gathering or group occasion,
town homes and condominium rentals shared between your parties will prove to
be surprisingly affordable. Hint: look for one with a balcony facing east or
west so you can enjoy the glorious sunrises and sunsets.
Vacation Homes: With a large gathering, one of the best ways to promote family
togetherness and have fun without planning any activities is to stay in the
same home. Virginia Beach offers hundreds of vacation homes with plenty of room
for your large gathering. Beach homes and homes adjoining one of our many beautiful
parks are the best, but you will find vacation homes further in town as well.
Bed and Breakfasts: If you want a real family experience with a Southern atmosphere,
consider one of the many romantic bed and breakfasts in the Virginia Beach area.
You are sure to love the atmosphere and friendliness, and nothing can compare
to a hearty Southern breakfast!
Hotels: For smaller vacations, or if you are coming alone, Virginia Beach has
tons of hotel rooms in all sections of the town, many offering balconies and
breathtaking views of the ocean and Chesapeake Bay.
In What Part of Virginia Beach Should I Stay?
Virginia Beach has many different sections, and one is sure to be perfect for
what you want.
The Boardwalk
If you want to stay close to the excitement as well as the sun and surf, the
boardwalk is the area for you. Virginia Beach's famous three-mile stretch of
boardwalk is backed right up against one of the most beautiful developed beaches
in the United States, and lined on the other side with bars, nightspots, recreation
areas, shops, and restaurants of all types. If you stay on the boardwalk, you
can walk to many of the most popular attractions in Virginia Beach, or you can
spend days working on your tan out on the beach.
Hell's Point Golf Course Area
The Hell's Point Golf Course is widely acknowledged as one of the best in the
country, but it is also in the quieter southern part of Virginia Beach, with
easy access to some of the nicer and quieter beaches in the area. There is also
great accessibility to many of the area wetlands and hiking trails, for birdwatchers
and nature enthusiasts. If your idea of a vacation is a little golf and a lot
of sun, a vacation rental near Hell's Point might be the perfect answer for
you.
Williamsburg
If you have kids, or if your tastes run more toward history, consider staying
in or near Williamsburg. It is one of the largest living history museums in
the United States, and it is fascinating. Imagine being able to see how the
original settlers lived, eat the same foods, and buy products created right
there. You can stay in a rental nearby, or you can even stay inside Colonial
Williamsburg, in one of the rooms built into the many shops and structures of
the town. If your tastes run to historical immersion, this is an ideal choice.
Downtown Norfolk and Ghent
With an active city revitalization program transforming it, the city of Norfolk
is no longer just a place to go if you have business with the military. You
will find Waterside Market fantastic for shopping, nightlife, eating, and just
watching people, or you can take water transport to many nearby areas. On the
other hand, you can walk the buzzing streets to see all the historical buildings,
museums, and city life. Ghent is a major arts community, the place to go around
Virginia Beach if you want to find great new artwork, see plays by up and coming
playwrights and actors, or hear some of the hottest music in great bars. Norfolk
is also an educational center, boasting several major colleges and universities.
For Our Favorite Visitors:
Staying With Kids
If you are visiting Virginia Beach with kids, you are in the perfect place.
Your best bet is to rent a townhouse; you will save money by preparing your
own meals and you will have plenty of space for those days of rest that is so
necessary when you have kids on vacation.
Attractions nearby that are kid-friendly include Busch Gardens, the adjoining
Water Country USA, King's Dominion amusement park, and Colonial Williamsburg.
Your best choices for areas to stay are the boardwalk area or close to Williamsburg;
keep in mind that on those days you want to rest, it is easy to get the kids
to the beach without an argument if you stay on the boardwalk.
Couples Vacations and Honeymoons
Virginia Beach is a perfect place for romance, too. Our breathtaking views
of the Atlantic look even better from the balcony of a condominium on the beach,
and the boardwalk is a perfect place to stroll hand in hand through the sand.
There are dozens of romantic restaurants, dinner cruises, hot nightspots, and
historic marvels for you to enjoy together. Whether you are just starting your
lives together or enjoying many years of marriage, taking your first trip as
a couple or continuing your vacation adventures, you will find wonderful places
to stay and things to do in Virginia Beach. Best places to stay are the boardwalk
or a private cabin in the scenic parks of the area.
